Mission and Goals

The mission of the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Education describes it as an independent institution serving higher education in economics and management in Poland, appointed by the Conference of Rectors of Economic Schools (Universities of Economics in Poznan, Cracow, Katowice and Wrocław, and the Warsaw School of Economics). The Foundation will work to improve the quality of education in these areas in Polish higher education institutions by advocating and supporting the best solutions, thereby helping improve the qualifications of specialists in Polish economy and the quality of education of the nation as a whole. The activity of the Foundation is geared exclusively to promoting the good of higher education institutions and to benefiting society.

The Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Education will pursue the following objectives:

• Definition and dissemination of high standards of higher education quality in economics and management
• Creation of internal and external education quality assurance systems in economics and management sciences
• Support of higher education institutions in their efforts to improve education and achieve quality standards comparable to those in other countries, as part of the creation of a joint European academic space
• Support of ties between the business community and institutions offering higher education in economics
• Formulation of opinions about economic education in Poland

The main aim of the Foundation is to promote high quality standards in education and thus improving education of the Polish society. The aim is realized by the system of accreditation of studies in economics. The Foundation promotes also e-learning, publishes bimonthly 'e-mentor' and organizes many academic conferences. What’s more, the Foundation deals with organization of the didactic process and promoting entrepreneurship among young people.
